The Administration and Supplies Department is responsible for managing the administrative functions of the Commission. This includes human resources management, office operations, logistics, procurement of goods and services, inventory management, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
The Project Implementation and Monitoring Department oversee the execution of development projects initiated by the Commission. This includes project planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation to ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and in accordance with established quality standards.
The Finance and Accounts Department is tasked with managing the financial resources of the Commission. This includes budgeting, financial planning, revenue generation, expenditure control, accounting, financial reporting, and compliance with financial regulations and standards.
The Public Affairs Department is responsible for managing communications and public relations activities on behalf of the Commission. This includes media relations, stakeholder engagement, community outreach, publicity campaigns, and ensuring transparency and accountability in the Commission’s activities.
The Planning and Development Department is responsible for strategic planning, policy development, and coordinating development initiatives aimed at promoting socio-economic growth and environmental sustainability in oil and gas producing communities.
The Legal Services Department provides legal advice, representation, and support to the Commission. This includes contract drafting and review, regulatory compliance, dispute resolution, litigation management, and ensuring that the Commission operates within the framework of relevant laws and regulations.
The Internal Audit Unit is responsible for conducting independent and objective assessments of the Commission’s operations, processes, and controls to ensure efficiency, effectiveness, and compliance with policies and regulations. This unit helps identify areas for improvement and mitigate risks.
The Procurement Unit is responsible for managing the procurement process of goods, services, and works for the Commission. This includes soliciting bids, evaluating proposals, awarding contracts, monitoring supplier performance, and ensuring transparency, fairness, and integrity in the procurement process.

EDSOGPADEC is committed to promoting environmental sustainability in the oil and gas producing areas. We implement measures to mitigate the environmental impact of oil and gas operations, protect natural habitats, and promote sustainable practices in resource extraction and utilization.

This includes the construction and maintenance of roads, bridges, healthcare facilities, schools, water supply systems, and electricity infrastructure.
We facilitate dialogue, mediation, and conflict resolution mechanisms to address disputes and promote peace, stability, and social cohesion in oil and gas producing areas. By fostering understanding and consensus among stakeholders, we create a conducive environment for development and investment.
EDSOGPADEC advocates for the rights and interests of oil and gas producing communities at the state and national levels. We engage with policymakers, government agencies, industry stakeholders, and civil society organizations to advocate for policies, laws, and regulations that promote the welfare and development of the region.
To ensure the effectiveness and impact of our initiatives, EDSOGAPDEC conducts regular monitoring and evaluation of projects and programs.
