Edo State rehabilitates failed portion on Sapele Road

The Edo State Oil and Gas Producing Area Development Commission (EDSOGPADEC) has embarked on the rehabilitation of a failed portion on Sapele Road, a vital artery connecting several oil and gas producing communities in the state.
The rehabilitation project, initiated by EDSOGAPDEC in collaboration with relevant government agencies, aims to address the deteriorating condition of the road, which has hindered transportation and economic activities in the area.
According to Mr. Johnson Efe, the Project Implementation and Monitoring Coordinator at EDSOGAPDEC, the rehabilitation work includes the reconstruction of the road surface, drainage systems, and culverts to improve water flow and prevent erosion.
“We understand the importance of Sapele Road to the socio-economic development of oil and gas producing communities in Edo State,” Mr. Efe stated. “The rehabilitation of this road is crucial to enhancing connectivity, facilitating the movement of goods and services, and improving the overall well-being of residents.”
The project, which commenced last month, is expected to be completed within the next six months, weather permitting. EDSOGAPDEC assures residents and commuters of its commitment to delivering quality infrastructure that meets the needs of the community and promotes sustainable development.
Stay tuned for more updates on this and other development projects initiated by the Edo State Oil and Gas Producing Area Development Commission.
